Exam / Prüfung
After mugging for 3 weeks, I am down with 3 papers. Namely, neuroscience, financial accounting and microbiology-molecular biology. Left with entrepreneurship on monday. Out of the 4 papers, 2 of them are taught in german. Seriously, studying a subject in a foreign language is torturous. Half of the time was spent translating words and text into english online, the other half was spent trying to catch the concept.
That also means, during exam, not only I could be marked wrong because I don't get the concept, but also might be because I didn't understand the question in german. See, I am at a disadvantage!
Especially this morning when I was doing last minute revision for microbio, I was feeling so damn nervous and restless, because I progressed so slowly with my german text reading and nothing could enter my head! Managed to read finish the whole stack of 14 set of notes before going for exam, but still, it was my most unprepared exam with a unsettling feeling. Not good at all!
But still, I am so proud of myself that at least, my understanding of german language is good enough for me to take university courses in german. Whats more amazing.. learning a totally new subject like financial accounting in german, and erm, self-learning microbiology from german notes (because i don't attend the lectures:P)
Called for a mini-celebration. Bought a quarktorte (quark cake) and orange juice (yes, alcohol-free!) home and celebrated it with suet chian & pat. So nice to just have afternoon tea & dessert at home with my favourite people =)
Right right, I should get going... Last paper to gooooo~~~
